Sophie Starkott
Age: 17
Impulsive and headstrong, folks aren't quite sure if Sophie is pretending to be a pirate or actually believes that she is one. Within her group of friends, Sophie's boundless energy serves as the combustion engine, propelling the entire operation forward. Although, sometimes it seems as though going backwards, upwards, or downwards is more likely.
Knodu Olben
Age: 18
If Sophie is the engine of the group, Knodu is the driver. Coming from a giant family (he is the fifth of eight kids), Knodu often found himself squirrelled away in libraries and hiding spots. Feeding on the rich history of Novasett Island, he wants very much to become an explorer or archeologist or maybe just and adventurer.
Ggy Marggldot (pronounced "GID-jee")
Age: 17
Skinny, anxious, and a hypochondriac, Ggy is the "squeaky wheel." A realist to the point of pessimism, Ggy somehow still manages to get himself dragged along on adventures, swept up by Sophie and Knodu's uncompromising enthusiasm. He can usually be kept calm if he's just able to wash his hands, or if you feed his black hole of a stomach.
Coover Pratcho
Age: 21
Coover is a genius. He graduated at the top of his class and now is the youngest member in an elite team of professional cavers. His uncanny ability to solve puzzles and recognize complex patterns make him an indispensible asset to any ruin or tunnel exploration. However, his matter-of-fact speaking and slight awkwardness around certain people can get irritating to some. Mostly because he's oblivious to this awkwardness. He doesn't ever mean to be bossy, he just knows better!
UPO (Unidentified Puppy Object)
Age: Probably tens of thousands of years. Probably.
Upo has the loyalty of a puppy with the tenacity of an old goat. Discovered deep underground, no one is sure where he came from or why he has such a friendly disposition amongst the darkness.
Archibald "Boss" Fisk
Age: 52
Charismatic Archibald Fisk was known as "Honest" Fisk in his early days as a young businessman with politcal aspirations. After building his empire in island maintanence and service (employing most of Novasett's working class), he earned the nickname "Boss." Now, after serving in his second term on the Novasett Island Committee, he has big plans and cares deeply for the Novasett working man.
Mofanwy ""Mo" Ferdllgat
Mofanwy (Mo to her close friends) is a caver on Novasett, currently working for Boss Fisk. She is sweet, polite, and a bit on the nervous side which is in contrast to her expertise in demolitions. Raised by her single father, Mo learned the intricacies of explosions in his digging and construction business. Despite this, she has never loved the work and often has a hand on the trigger and another over the ear. Mo is also always on the lookout for love, although she'd never admit it.
